Middle School Update Grade 6

by Grace Glenn
In history, the sixth grade has been studying how the United States government got started. They have also just finished a writing project. The topic was, "Changing the World." It was interesting to hear what some people said and it made you wonder if those things were ever going to change. They have also begun reading a novel entitled, Dangerous Skies- in honor of black history month. The novel involves the friendship between a white boy and an African American girl. It is set in Northampton County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia (our lovel home). In math, the sixth grade is preparing for a test on fractions, decimals, and percents and are about to start a table of contents for the unit. That is what is happening in sixth grade.
